Our Story

Give Me Liberty, Mfg. is a creative collective dedicated to producing narrative and documentary films that raise the level of cinematic experience and integrity. It was founded in 2014 by Alice Austen and Kirill Mikhanovsky whose shared artistic vision and conviction that filmmaking at the highest level increases empathy by bringing urgent and compelling stories to audiences worldwide. Launched with a successful Kickstarter campaign, GML has attracted a team of highly regarded filmmakers and artists and its projects have received the support of the Sundance Institute, Skywalker Sound, Film Independent, Bright Star Wisconsin, and Milwaukee Film, and have garnered accolades and awards at festivals around the world.
